UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

This Saturday we went to Universal Studios. I have not been there before, but when I was a child, I always thought one day I must go there. I like watching movie and I go to movie theater ever weekend. I generally prefer going to American movies and I am always interested in how they can make movie or what they use when they prepare to special effects. That’s why it was very big chance for me and it was passed very funny but some times very scary for some of my friends such as Menap, Kenny, Abdul and Muath. In the Saturday morning, all of the Alp students met in front of the Alp building and then, trip was started. Firstly, when we arrived to Universal Studios, all of the students wanted to take photograph. I can easily say, we broke record for taking photo with together. If we calculate the sum of photos and we apply the guinness , maybe we can take new record as an Alp students. After we finished the taking photo process, finally we could enter from door. I joined to a lot of activities during my trip. First of all, I started to watch Shrek but 4D version. It was really exciting because I watched 4D movie first time. After that, we joined city your and we learned how the old movies had prepared. During the tour, we saw very famous movies such as Jaws, Jurassic Park… At the end of the tour, we went to Jurassic Park ride. It was very funny but the queue was very long and boring, so I had wanted to try again but I changed my mind. After Jurassic Park ride, I went to fire effect studios and I watched small fired effect show. I am disappointed now, because I always thought that I was very complicated but it looked easy. Then, I went to water world and we watched the show with my wet clothes because. I felt hungry and tired but I wanted to try Mummy ride because it is one of the best movie for me. It was very fast so I like it. After I tried to Mummy ride, my trip was finished. I passed very good time with my friend but this was not to last time. I will go again immediately.

WHY WE SHOULD EAT FRUITS VEGETABLES AND FRUITS.

Eating and drinking is indispensable things for human life. Different from animals, human can eat everything such as meat, vegetables, fruit, fish… However they can eat everything, they must be careful what should they eat. Generally every scientist has different opinion about human nutrition. In my opinion human should be often prefer to eat vegetables and fruits. I have some reason for this claim. First of all, eating plenty of fruits and vegetables can help you heart disease and stroke, control blood pressure and cholesterol, prevent some types of cancer, avoid a painful intestinal ailment called diverticulitis, and guard against cataract and macular degeneration, two common causes of vision loss. For example, if you eat regularly vegetables and fruits everyday, your cholesterol is decrease the normal level and you can protect your hearth. Second of all, fruits and vegetables contain different kind of vitamins. That’s why you can take vitamins whenever you eat this and you can protect your body to illness. All the experiment show that eating fruit and vegetables prevent to health problems. Thirdly, eating vegetables is decrease to obesity risk and prevent to fatness. If you eat fruit and vegetables everyday, you do not need any diet or something else. In conclusion, according to this reason eating vegetables and fruist are extremely important for human health.

MY ROOM

How can I describe it, I do not know. It is probably the most mess room in the world. If you want to find your way in my room, you absolutely need a map. It is actually really small room, but when you come inside of the room you can think I spend a lot of time in it. Because everything in my room especially my clothes are scattered to everywhere. Therefore you eyes tired you are bored quickly. If you look, before entering to the room, it looks like prison because firstly you can see shutter in front of you. That’s why I always want to spend less time in my bedroom. After that, you can realize easily a clothes mountain in front of the wardrobe. I usually use the floor instead of wardrobe. Behind the mountain, you can see some clothes in wardrobe. They look like a prisoner and they want to run away from wardrobe and they want to join other friends on the floor. If you look left side of the room, they can see my huge bed. This creature eats half of the room space. Between the bed and wardrobe, you can see my desk. Wheneever I look this desk, I always think that it looks like an old man. Because it bends under laptop, books and other things. If you look top of the room, you can see a propeller looks like helicopter because both of them has same noise and motion. And finally, on the left side wall, it is a painting lie on the wall. Whenever I see this painting, I scare from it. It looks very old and it is very dark. If you want to make horror films and you need a paint for door , you can easily use this painting. In conclusion, if I really do not need to use my room, I do not want to spend time in it.

WEDDING IN MY COUNTRY

There are different kinds of wedding ceremonies in Turkey. The types of ceremonies depend on the social and economical condition of couples and their families. In rural areas generally wedding ceremonies continue one week and the ceremony become on the street and every people invited in the village. In city weddings, one day before the wedding ceremony, bride, bride’s friends and couples families meet bride’s home but only woman and girl invited this part. During this party, people dance traditionally and they prepare traditional staff for putting to bride’s hand. This party is called “ kina gecesi”. The wedding day, couple sometimes invites marriage officer on the marriage place or sometimes they go to marriage office before ceremony. After marriage officer sign their marriage paper, wedding ceremony starts. Firstly, couple dance on the ceremony hole and then, guest dance. During the ceremony, people generally prefer to Turkish traditional music and dance such as zeybek, horon, ciftetelli etc. At the end of the ceremony, couple cut the wedding cake and all the guest eat one piece of this cake. After this situation guest put some money and jewelry to couples. After ceremony finish, couple goes to hotel at this night. The other day, some couple can go honeymoon.

LEGAL SYSTEM IN TURKEY

Every country has a different type of legal system. I wan to mention about Turkish legal system and its parts. Turkish legal system includes some parts such as lawyers, judge and prosecutor. All suits judge in the law court. Firstly, judge open the suit at this time everyone has to stand up in the court. According to Turkish constitution, defendant and suitor have to have one lawyer. If they have not money for bring lawyers, Turkish government brings lawyers for them. After judge’s speech, prosecutor wants to listen defendant and suitor. During this process, lawyer can ask some question and say something about suit. At the end of the court, judge ask defendant do you want to add something about this suit. Finally, judge decide the suit and explain his decision to court and suit is finished. After that if defendant or suitor do not like this decision, they can apply the upper court.

FRIENDSHIP

Friends play very important role in our life. Everyone has some friend different time of their life because human have always needed other people since the world started. All people look different characteristic when they select to their friends. If I want to describe friend means, I can say some words trust, support, enjoy, share feelings etc. Firstly, I want to mention about trust because my first criteria is trust when I select to my friend. My opinion if you want to be someone friend, firstly you must obtain his/her confidence. For example, you have friend and he/she always tell lie and you know this how can you reliance to him/her when you fall in trouble. Second important point is support because if someone is your friend, I think he/she always supports to you when you meet difficult situations. For instance, whenever I fall in trouble situation, I call my best friend for taking some advices. Thirdly, I think friends means enjoyable time because if you pass boring time with someone, you do not want to be this people again. Friends usually share same interest such as watching television, playing sports game, support to same team, like same place, doing same hobbies etc. When I look my friends, I always see some similarities different from other people. For example I have some friends from school because our interest areas are similar, I have some friends from fun clubs of my team because we like the same team, I have some friends from mountain climbers club because we have same hobbies. Finally, my opinion if you have a friend who is trustful, you can pass enjoyable time with him/her also he/she always help you when you fall meet in difficult case, you always keep in touch with them because these days finding good friend is very hard situation.

MY DREAM VACATION

If I have a chance , I want to go Egypt. I can give some reason for selection. First of all , I like visiting new interesting place, also taking photos. Egypt has a lot of ancient and beautiful places for visiting such as Gize Pyramids , Nil River , Karnak Temple , King Valley. When I was a young ,my mother who is teacher of history lesson told stories about Egypt. I listened to her very carefully because It was very interesting stories about pharaoh and ancient Egypt. Thus, I want to go, and I want to listen again same stories in original place. Secondly , if I go holiday for only swimming and sun bathing , three or four day later I am always very boring because after four days later everything start to become same. Therefore, I usually prefer a place which has ancient place and also it can be suitable for summer holiday. Egypt has beautiful sea and beach for summer holiday and when you swim in the sea , you can see ancient remnants. Finally , if one day I can go to Egypt , I want to visit all ancient place , take a lot of picture , learn extra information about Egypt and also go to beach and swim.

MY FRIEND BIRTHDAYS PARTY

I did not go to concert because I must go my friend birthday party. Birthday party was passed very funny. It was crowded because a lot of people came to party and we met my friend home. Party started the same time of concert ,but I joined the some part of the party because I could see fireworks from my friend homes balcony. People generally was from ALP student so it was very useful for meeting new ALP friends. We listened to music and danced during the party. Also , I did not join to Alp trip because I have some reason for this situation. Firstly, I want to say I try. I went to ALP office, and when I looked at the trip list , I saw only two students name and trip had been canceled because of this reason. I thought why people do not want join ALP, and I found two reason. First reason, After two ALP organization , student have started to think ALP activities are very boring. Second reason, students do not want to pay too much money for this boring activities. For example , last week there were Catalina Island but I saw only six people joined for this trip. And this week there were LA trip and I saw only two students name.

MY UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE

Everyone has met at least one bad experience in their life. An unforgettable experience in my life was a car accident. Last summer , I decided to go holiday with my girl friend. Previous day , we prepared everything with related to holiday because we wanted to leave early in the morning. We had only seven days for holiday so everything must be perfect . In the morning we left at home at 7 am because our way was very far and roads were very crowded. Also I wanted to start my holiday immediately. But we did not predict to accident. After five hours had passed , I crashed to another car. Firstly , I thought that it was very slowly and I could continue my way. After that , I tried to start my car but I could not to achieve. It was broken, but what was the problem? I got off from my car, and I looked everywhere of it. Finally , I saw water under it and I understood its radiator had a hole and all the water flew from there. I called to police and then they took a report . I still could not operate my car, so I called the car service. They asked my location but I did not know because there were not any special thing around the road. Finally I stopped other car and I learned my location. Finally , car service sent a car for pulling my car to service and then we went to service together. Foreman said that I will repair but it can take two days. I was shocked because I had only seven days vacation and two days of that I had to stay small village and wait my car. At the end, they found a hotel for us in the small village and we went to this hotel. We stayed in this hotel two days and it was really boring and this was very bad experience for me.

My Favourite Season: Summer
My favourite season is summer without doubt. I have give a lot of reason for this selection. First of all , I like hot weather. Because if weather is good , I feel very energitic ,funy and I always go out and meet new people in the outside especially foreign people. Foreign people evey year come to Turkey for summer holiday so summer is very big chance to improve my english. Also when I stayed in my country , everyday I went to swimming because my city in south coastal part of the Turkey. It has a beautiful and clean beach also sea water is hot. Secondly in summer season there are no school and homework . I have a lot of time for making some activities. Also my friends are free because of summer holiday so we can meet and play games easily. Also I like summer sports such as water skiing and surfing . I can do this sport only summer season. Thirdly If I want to go somewhere for holiday summer season is good selection because there is a lot of tlme. You can visit somewhere and you pass your time freely. I can visit my relatives especially my grandmother in this season. The last reason , in summer season I am never ill and I am always healtier. For this reasons I like summer. Acocording to me summer means fun , entertainment ,meet beatiful girls ,a lot of free time for my hobbies.

Dear Dean;

I am Ozgur Bas and I came from Turley . I am a student of Cal State Fullerton university. I study in American Language Program and I am in Level 4 C class now. Alp program does some activity for foreign students. One of the activities is fun lunch. I want to attend this activitiy but when I looked my schedule , time of the luch was not fit to my schedule. During the lunch , I have some classes and I am extremely unhappy for this situation. All the students of Level 4C students think the same as me. I hope you will solve this problem.

A Person Who Has Made a Difference: Mustafa Kemal Ataturk
Ataturk is very important leader for Turkish people. He is founder of the Turkish Republic.Also ,he is my idol . He was born in 1881 and he died in 1938. He was soldier and he fought for his country after the World War 1 and he saved his country from occupier countries. He always wanted to raise Turkey to the level of modern countries so he worked on this area and he made a lot of project for materializing of his idea. He followed some steps and when he had finished one step than, he implemented other steps. Firstly ,he started to change of political system and he brought a new system . It is called democracy. He was first president of this system. Secondly , he made a lot of reforms . For example he changed clothes , family names , calendar , hours , measures and he brought modern type of systems.Turkey communicate to other country of Europe very easily now because we use same type of systems. Secondly , he regulated to Turkish economy and he legislated for farm and stockbreeding because he wanted to reinforce Turkish economy. Because after war Turkish economy were bad and he solved this problem. He established to modern time and he was encouragement to farmers. Thirdly ,he changed alphabet from Ottoman alphabet to new Turkish alphabet . He made this changing because he believed ottoman alphabet is very hard to learn and he wanted to bring new easy Turkish alphabet also all Europe were using this alphabet. He regulated to university education and he opened a lot of universities. Because he always believed to Turkish generation and he thought generation will increase to Turkey over the modern countries. Also he gave a chance for women to attend to selection. The first time one country gave a selection chance for woman’s. He was good solider , good politican and he is hero for Turkish people. His life was published in Time journal as a biggest leader of last one hundred years. He was a soldier but he always preferred to peace. I want to finish my paragraph with his famous words. “Peace at home , peace in the world “.
